Even the simplicity of a "roof-top" garden is within reach for so many.
*Fuel for the logistics train.
*Fields being rendered neutral because of depletion.
*GMO usage to increase yields.

But the real bottom line is....self sustainment and "FLAVOR"!!!

Growing your own vegetables Is great thing to do. But you are relying in your garden, what if you garden doesn't do well,etc... You guys need to learn foraging. Nature grows far more food then we could.. If you take self sustainability seriously, check this link out.. This man lives just north of me in Toronto Canada, and he lives off wild edibles exclusively!
