Due to the steep pitch of my front porch bats have always made their home there which I had no problem with. I think they also have an entrance up there to my attic. However, the house has been empty for a year and I am moving back into it. Apparantly during that time the porch dwellers have increased significantly as there are now piles of bat poo which accumulate right where we walk in the front door. Not fun and I don't want them there anymore but I certainly don't want them exterminated. How do I discourage these critters from wanting to live there?
