I've been really upset since days ago when Obama approved opening the Atlantic seaboard to oil exploration mainly because of one testing method: seismic testing.

You know, the gun blasts every ten seconds for weeks on end many thousand times louder than jet engines wherever marine life depends on their own senses of hearing and vibration to survive. Lots of unnecessary pain and suffering and death at the hands of oil companies who sell to other countries, including China.

The nonprof group, Oceana.org, has been fighting seismic testing for a long time. But Obama didn't listen to the hundreds of thousands of people expressing concerns.

The petition on Obama's site needs 150 signatures to be searchable online. Then it needs 100,000 signatures within a month for him to see it.
