Cucumbers smell and taste of chemicals...
Comments (20)"but when I saw no progress with Natria..." They make some of the most useless products, but consumers want them. A lot of them are nothing more than canola oil (literaly, like just canola oil and water). They market them as if they actually work well when the truth is that though many may help, it's overall effectiveness isn't...well, it's not very effective. I've seen a lot of people burning their plants up using Natria applications with oil in them at improper times as well as pest problems these formulations can't tame...mostly, I've seen people waste a lot of money on things they could mix into a spray bottle themselves....See MoreHelp! Comments (26)I don't mean to be disagreeable, but I first learned about Jimsonweed through an article in the Reader's Digest, around 1980. A whole family had become violently ill after eating garden tomatoes for dinner. An investigation revealed that Jimsonweed growing in the garden had crossbred with the tomatoes. Their fruit was highly poisonous! I am here this evening because my husband asked me about a large weed that had sprung up on the edge of our tomato patch and, Googling it, I found it to be Jimsonweed! I will assume that, as it is the first specimen to grow in my garden, it has not had an opportunity to cross-pollinate or graft, but I will call the cooperative extension tomorrow, just to be on the safe side. Cowthree, I see that this post is at several years old. Did you ever have any further issues?...See MorePlease ID this Snake (Photos)
Comments (17)I'm sooo glad someone IDed that bugger I have one just like him (maybe bigger) in my yard, watch like a hawk to make sure he is not in my way. when they (I have more one)are around I swear I feel them so I can usualy scare them away. Last week I was out potting Plants and I needed more Pots which were a little distance away from where I was working. I headed to the pots. Well I felt that there was one close by soooo I very carefully eye out as far as my eye could see, didn't see anything so I thought to self "she is in a bush somewhere so I'm not going to worry. Sooo I by now I'm at the pots. I take one step forward and all of a suddon this huge snake wraps around my leg and I just about died, nothing but blood curling scream comes out of my mouth as I doing the chicken dance and there are pots flying all over the. I know in my knower that some are not poisonous but I could still die of a heart attack. Try as I have I can't seem to not be terrified Of them. That lawn mower deal sounds realy great HEHEHE Hi Kara I went to your plant swap My plants are doing awesome! thanks sooo much for letting me come. Carmen...See MoreSnake!!
Comments (25)Thanks John! Great suggestions all of them!!! I am not sure of the boots.. Wearing shoes in Summer is a chore! I will just be more careful!! Will try to keep the walkways clear etc.. I did try straw once and the grass grew everywhere... I am still cleaning up the walkways... :-( Bad straw bales!! To be fair, it was the first and only one( the copperhead I mean) we have seen in 20 years... Mostly rat snakes... the others snakes i mentioned earlier, were in India, long time ago.. You know My neighbour's cat does come everyday, in the evening to make a round of my yard!! Looks like she is going to be a welcome visitor from now on.. Moreover, I do have hawks flying low in my yard too in the afternoon... The crows seems to go after them.. Not sure what is going on.. but I see this pretty often.. I was thinking voles and other rodents.. ( they do seem to thrive in the back in the wooded area with a small pond). Maybe they are taking care of them already.. Just hope not to have anymore"close encounters of the snake kind" Far away no problem.. Like the one in the" festival for the eno" I love that festival.. I got a few pics of the Owl......See Moretlilbit
