At Alexandria's near Carthage, they have lotus in a big rubber tub; they are beautiful. You can have plants without the pump and filter. But Once you start you can't stop. My friend's neighbor threw away a fiberglass form that leaked. I had that for a while; it was UGLY but I like the dragonflies, toads, frogs and goldfish. In that pond everything died one July when it got hot and nasty. This pond is bigger but I think for safety a filter would be good. I can run mine when I feel the necessity. I think the spitter spraying water helps and a pillow is a filter of sorts. Now I want to expand and make another pond; it is very addictive....See Moremore bird pictures

Comments (4)awesome!!!! so where these taken and then zoomed in for cloe-up details? How close was she able to get? How much X zoom did she use? Did she have to go into her digital zoom? Lots of questions .....but I'm still trying to figure out how she gets such good clear pics. Tripod? I could keep on asking if only I could get my lower jaw raised!!!!! I'm still in awe out how great they are!!! I caught the sun justright the other day and played with some close-ups of flowers......was I doing something wrong or is it just how you have to take a close up? I had to get within 2 inches of the flower!! The pics were pretty nice....was just amazed at how close I had to get!...See Moredreamgarden
