A noctuid moth, Autographa genus. There are about a dozen similar species to choose from, one key element is the shape of the silvery highlight on the forewings.

Some of these are "looper" moths; alfalfa looper, celery looper, etc.

I believe it's Nocturnal moth..

"Nocturnal" is not a moth genus or species identification, it is an adjective describing this and most moth's daily habits, so in that sense, the above moth is nocturnal.

The flickr photo series linked to above shows a variety of insects, none of which is the exact moth in the image above.
