I know mites are not insects, but close enough. Does anyone know how to get a mite ID? I have these things crawling around biting. I believe them to be some sort of bird or poultry mite, but would love to get an ID on them. I need to know where they're coming from in order to battle them. Here is an image from my microscope. You can see the microscope pointer near its rear (just so it is not interpreted as split or black stripped in the back).
