What is this thing?

Hello everyone!
I'm currently living in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia and am amazed at the wide variety of fauna around the compound. Recently I have seen lots of these critters crawling around on the ground at night. I'm curious as to what they are, please help!

A Cricket. If you research them for Saudi Arabia, use the terms insect or crickets, cricket just leads to athletic results.

More specifically, it appears to be a species of mole cricket. Those short, strong front 'paws' are used for digging......they create a network of tunnels underground. Mole crickets are the bane of southern lawns and golf courses, where they feed happily on the roots of turf.
