can you identify this bumblebee?

At least, I think it's a bumble bee... I just like to know what's in my garden and I caught these two having sex..... I felt like a pornographer haha

I'm from the SF Bay Area

It is the Yellow-faced Bumble Bee, Bombus vosnesenskii.

The two bees appear very different in size, perhaps a queen mating with a male of lower rank.

thanks! it was HUGE! i've never seen a bumblebee that big before... the male was typical bumblebee size around here
