moth with sticky wings - any way to clean/help?

Hi, everyone! I'm hoping someone can help with this:

This morning I found a moth in a cup of juice that had been left out overnight. I fished it out and have it in a container with some leaves and grass now, sitting on a paper towel to help soak up the juice. The moth's wings are severely damaged and I don't think it can fly even with dry wings, so I'm going to try to take care of it while its still alive. Is there anything I can do to help clean the wings or will it be able to take care of that itself (or is it a goner...)?

I doubt that there's anything that can be done. Perhaps gently misting the wings with warm water might rinse some of the juice off. But moth and butterfly wings are coated with tiny scales that are easily removed....when that happens the insect is pretty much doomed.
