What Kind of Bird is this?

Hello! Thank you for reading my post! I have a new bird that moved in across the street in a large oak tree. He sits on a bare branch at the highest point. He reminds me of a hawk but I am unsure if hawks have many callings or just the one our ears are used to. He is hard to catch low down so please forgive me for the distorted Photo. I zoomed in as far as I could with out losing all clarity. He seems to have a friend or mate that sits somewhere behind my house. They call back and forth all day long. Can anyone make out what this is?

This is a Mississippi Kite. I happen to know the species well enough to ID from this photo alone, but please always include a geographic location when requesting an ID.

Mississippi Kites have been expanding their range over recent years. Could you please go ahead and share your location? I am curious. Thanks!

I apologize! Yes we are in Pace FL, about 20 minutes from Pensacola, FL which is located in the Panhandle.

That's a male so-called "English house sparrow"(Passer domesticus), an invasive species that is neither English nor a true sparrow, but an African weaver finch. These prolific birds are very messy and destroy nests of many cavity-nesting native bird species in order to build their own bulky nests in their places.

Looks like a domestic pigeon that probably escaped from its owner or didn't find it's way home. Head structure doesn't look like a Homing pigeon.

Okay, good to know. That is part of their already-existing breeding range. A breeding record was just set in Winnipeg, Manitoba this year, so that is why I wanted to ask! You never know with this species! :-)
