Hi there! I'm sorry I don't have any real suggestions. I had to look up the Loves Lies Bleeding plant to see what it looks like! You must be going for something a little exotic, eh? Beautiful plant, but the page I saw on it said it liked full sun. Not sure that would work in the area you are planning to put it. Have you already come up with a solution? If nothing else, an annual like sweet alyssum would look, er, sweet coming out between the bars.

Neither my daughter or I have anything in our bird cages. I don't think it necessary. Mine: Daughters: Old Apartment New Apartment My son has a candle in his. His sister gave it to him - her left over junk.LOL It is not antique. My sons w/candle: You can barely see this, but inside the white bird cage, my other daughter has dried flowers...dust catchers. My friend recently put dried split peas, with a candle inside her apothecary car.

Another Idea is go to your local Craft " Michael's/JoAnn Fabrics .. and purchase the woven Balls made of distressed "not lacquered" yet but of twine or unfinished reed and or sea shell covered balls. Maybe add a bit of moss that is bleached white yet still has the Nut tones within it to Set off the Pink - and set the "balls within " as it it were a nest. OR you could use River Rocks instead of the moss ..The lighter in color River rocks. I have found them at the Dollar store. You could mix River Rocks(soft sea colors of blanched white/Grey/tones) and Sea Glass and or the pale Pink clear stones that are found in the bag - rounded baubles - or even white Sand and pink sea glass - with some shells. (put a clear glass saucer/plate inside to hold the Rocks/glass in place) and add Wooden crackle eggs within the center - or a Bird. I collect Birds of all kinds. I have metal, wood, plaster, Tin, ceramic ..you name it. I just find them to be so lovely. I love Bird Cages too- I think they are Divine. I have only one myself it is made of Bamboo and wood - yet is stained a Earthy Amber Brown. I have had it for 10 yrs or so .. A great piece of decor. It has a door on the front and a pull out bottom .. I have never thought of putting anything inside of it though. I think the only thing that would be put inside mine - is a false " Bird" covered in real feathers .. because I have swing that sits within it. Its not shabby its more so Malaysian looking. I was looking for a Metal Cricket to be Honest .. I think that a Cricket would find its home in my cage .. more so than a Bird.
