I am trying to figure out if these are fruit flies or not? That is a 64 oz bottle with apple cider vinegar and a bit of soap in it. But it's barely making a dent in this invasion.
They do have the profile of a fruit fly.
Are significant numbers drowning on or under the surface of the vinegar? A typical fruit fly trap will have entry holes just big enough for the fly to enter. You might have some escaping from this uncapped bottle.
What is the source of the invasion?
I've always used a shallow ceramic or glass bowl half filled with apple juice or ACV and a few drops of soap. But the big question is why are there so many in your home?
