Yellow-rumped Warbler (AKA butter butt) on the double suet cage feeder. He guards the feeder from the nearby pine. I only see them in the winter when they come in for the suet and water.

I'm gonna assume this was a hawk, plenty of them around here, but it was just too far to be sure. I just love the shot anyway, such a blue sky and he was like : "I OWN THIS PLACE!"

I posted this one on another thread, but it's worthy of a second look. This female cardinal is so puffed up against the cold, looks like she swallowed a grapefruit. Love this pic! Photo taken a couple of weeks ago.

Hi I have seen the rose grosbeak a couple of time here in Quebec but both times it has been rainy. So now I watch for him when it is raining out. I do have a pair of cardinals at my feeder this winter but not today it is very windy so I have not seen any birds at all and we have blue sky. tomorrow I will be full up my feeder with the nasty wind the seeds will blow away. Here is a picture of a hawk I also feed him pigeons in the summer he comes down grabs one and off he goes But I need more of them around cause I have about 25 pigeons in my backyard most of the summer
Thanks for posting your pictures love them

Eastern North Carolina after several inches of snow. It's a busy place! Chickadees, Brown headed and White Breasted Nuthatches, American Goldfinches, Chipping Sparrows, Pine Warblers, Carolina Wrens, Juncos and even a Bluebird stopped by for some suet.

I love the big bird feeder I guess no squirrel can get at the food. Have not seen them here in Quebec I guess the pigeons also cannot get at the food I bought a new bird feeder last year and it work pretty good for the pigeons and grackles only problem not more than 3 small birds can eat at one time

Don, seriously, don't be humble - or rather, your wife should be proud of that owl pic! Rare to get a chance to take a pic of one so close to your deck, lucky her!

Here's the latest from yesterday in non-stop snow: a little house sparrow all fluffed up.

This forum has been a wonderful source of info and the photos have made it much easier to make a hobby of birding. Threads like these have added a new dimension to the time my wife and I spend outdoors as no birds go without notice. Thanks for sharing.

In Central Illinois- usually only see a few towhees the whole summer and have never seen them in the winter. There must have been a small flock of them that spent their days under the feeders in the yard this past weekend. Really enjoying all the photos.
